Baby Shoes and Hawaiian Bag

A good friend of mine in Hawaii asked me to make baby shoes for her friends’ babies; two for a baby girl and two for a baby boy.

I didn’t have much fabric that was fit for a boy, so I bought this cute “stars and planet” fabric for him and thought it would be nice! I made another pair with this tree fabric. I bought this at Joann a while ago and saw many people making cool stuff with this fabric on flickr!

These two pairs are for a baby girl!

When I saw these orange fabric and mushroom fabric, I fell in love with them right away!. Aren’t they adorable? I’m glad that I finally could make something with these fabrics. When I bought them at the beginning of this year, I just started sewing… so I wasn’t sure what I was going to make or what I could make. I just wanted to buy many pretty fabrics to inspire me ;)

Oh. by the way, I found the baby shoes pattern at Joanna's blog.

Lastly, this Hawaiian bag is for my friend who requested the baby shoes. I hope she will like this:)

Hawaiian Bag

When she asked me to sew baby shoes, I really wanted to make something for her as well, and I remembered that I saw this yellow Hawaiian fabric at a local store in Los Gatos, CA. This bag was soooooo fun to make!... by "fun" I mean "easy". I think I should make tutorial for it one day!

Hello

Hi! Here is my new blog!

My mom bought me a Janome sewing machine right after I graduated college. I promised my mom I would sew a lot...

2 years later, here I am. I have hardly used my sewing machine, but I always get inspired by reading my favorite sewing books and sewing blogs! Now, it's my turn to be creative!!

I am a beginner in sewing, but I thought it would be fun to share my projects with you.

Here are the most recent projects I have completed!

My Projects

I usually carry the tote bag with Amy Butler Fabric (Blue Flower Bag). I sewed with a piece of fat quarters I bought and it turned out great! It is very easy to sew it too:)

I'm REALLY excited to start this. I hope you enjoy it too!
